A native of Montevallo, Alabama, D.J. began serving as senior pastor of Anderson Mill Road in January of 2004. He is a graduate of Auburn University and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Laurel have been married for six years. One month before moving to Spartanburg Laurel gave birth to their first son Ty, and has since had a second little boy named Micah. D.J. has a heart for biblical preaching and pastoring as a servant-leader. He loves the outdoors and especially enjoys hunting whether it is deer, turkey, or an occasional golf ball. He and Laurel desire to make Spartanburg their home as they raise their family and seek God’s will through their relationship with the Christ.

Kevin and his wife Susan are life long residents of the Spartanburg area. He and his wife have been happily married for six years. They have three beautiful children, Kate Elizabeth), Will, and a new baby girl named Palmer. Kevin earned his MBA and Masters of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Kevin enjoys practicing Karate and working on breaking 90 on the golf course.

Bucky Rogers, Minister of Students- bucky@amrbc.org

Bucky grew up in Chattanooga, TN. He graduated with a Bachelor’s from University of Tennessee and got his Masters of Arts in Christian Education from Southern Seminary. He has 6 years of student ministry experience and writes student ministry curriculum for Student Life Publishing. Bucky has a wife of 5 years, Julie and a son, Xan and enjoys short walks on the beach and llama rodeos.

Kim Wuenschel joined the AMRBC staff in June 2006. She received her undergraduate degree from Messiah College, and a Masters of Art in Religion and a Masters of Religious Education from Liberty Theological Seminary. God has given her a vision and passion to see all children, and their families, come to know and love Christ as their personal Savior, then to grow into fully devoted followers of Christ who are unafraid and unhindered to serve and share Him daily. Kim and her husband, Jacob, are excited about how God is using AMRBC to reach the west side of Spartanburg for Christ.

Asheton Amerson, Discipleship Pastor- asheton@amrbc.org

Asheton is a native of Raleigh, NC. He loves the mountains of North Carolina, where he met his wonderful wife Tracey. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he majored in Business Management and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Master of Divinity. Asheton enjoys running and anything to do with the outdoors. Asheton’s desire is to see believers become passionate about making disciples.
