Devotional Thought

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,

And the one who gets understanding,

For the gain from her is better than the gain from silver

And her profit better than gold.

She is more precious than jewels,

And nothing you desire can compare to her.

– Proverbs 3.13-15

This is a pretty high view of wisdom. Our world might agree with this to a point. Education and understanding are looked at the solution to the majority of the world’s problems. But the truth is that the wisdom that Solomon is speaking of is so much more than education. Remember chapter 1 verse 7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Wisdom is not just knowledge. Wisdom is a perfect attribute of God. God created the universe through His wisdom. He is rules all of creation with His wisdom. He is the one who makes the scholars look foolish. The strong look weak. The rich look poor. Do you value His wisdom more than gold and silver? This week when you are trying to figure out the way to go and the words to say trust God in His infinite wisdom. The gain from her is matchless.

This Week in Preteen Ministry

Wednesday Night Drive

Only three more weeks until summer. Let’s end this year strong. Each week pick one student to invest in and follow up with them during the week. We’ll be talking about Faith and Repentance this week. How cool it is that with all that God has done to save us, all he asks is that we stop our self destructive behavior and trust Him.

Shift Sunday Morning Bible Study

We will continue our look at the future in Shift Bible study this week. This week we will ask the question, “what will heaven be like.” I guarantee, it will better than we think.

Wired Preteen Choir

What an incredible job you did this past Sunday. I got so many compliments it made my head spin. I always tried to point it the right direction. God is working though our awesome students and closest to my heart, my choir director and support. Thank you so much Julie, Amy, Greg, and Shelly. Special practice this Saturday combined with a trip to Miracle Hill. 10:00am-2:00pm.

Wired Preteen Choir Spring Musical Dinner Theater – May 21

Come out and show your support for our students who have been working hard all year. Talk it up in your realm of influence. Encourage students that are in the choir to keep working hard and getting to practice as they prepare. Tickets will go on sale this April. $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

VBX Sunday, June 6th- Thursday, June 10th

I cannot wait for one of our biggest weeks of the year! Encourage students to invite friends, think about how you can serve, and pray, please pray that students from all over our community will hear the Gospel and be saved.
