Our Partnership with Africa Renewal Ministries
The Mill has been in partnership with Africa Renewal Ministries(ARM) since 2010 when the Mwangaza African Children’s Choir came to our campus. We have taken four teams since then and have been an integral part of our strategic partner village in Uganda—Najjanankumbi. ARM works in and through local congregations all over Uganda and other parts of Africa in orphan care, ministry training, pastoral leadership, and church support. They also have an extensive child sponsorship program, which cares for thousands of Ugandan children, providing meals, schooling, clothes, and the Gospel. ARM specializes in programs in leadership for the church. This helps build up leaders and pastors for the effectiveness and expansion of the local church internationally.
How you can be involved
· Child sponsorship is an easy first step. It is $40 a month and is well worth the investment. ARM is a reputable organization, and if you choose to go on a mission trip with the Mill to Uganda, you’ll actually be able to meet your sponsored child, as many other members of the Mill already have. To sponsor a child, simply visit www.africarenewal.org and click on “sponsor.” Be sure to indicate Najjanankumbi as your area of choice for a sponsored child.
· Go! We have at least one mission trip to Uganda each year. The cost is generally between $2500 and $3000 and is eligible for the Acts 1.8 scholarship to cover 1/3 of that cost.
· Sell! We partner with the women of Najjanankumbi to sell beautiful necklaces that they make. Get a bunch and sell to your friends and family.
How you can pray
· Pray for ARM directors, for the Loving Hearts Baby Home (an orphanage for young babies that ARM directs and funds) and for leaders to be raised up in Uganda.
